The Groves has a gracious home atmosphere that provides residents with a sense of community, independence and peace of mind. Residents feel as though they are an active part of the Ephrata community, and they enjoy activities such as walking to the post office to mail a letter, strolling to the local shops and savoring life on Main Street. The 9,000 square foot 1888 home has been lovingly restored to provide an elegant setting that is completely unlike the typical institutional setting. The location makes it convenient to local churches, hairdressers, shops, banks, restaurants and parks.
Residents have their own private rooms with private baths. First floor rooms have no steps into the home when entering. The Groves also offers a luxury independent apartment with a private deck. Residents can decorate their rooms in the style they choose, using their own furnishings. If necessary, staff can assist in acquiring and decorating the resident's room.
Residents enjoy wonderful country style lunches and dinners like chicken pot pie, roast beef, roast turkey, and pork chops in our attractive dining room or enclosed porch. In the morning, there is a made-to-order breakfast. There is also a comfortable library with a piano, writing desk and television, as well as a cozy den with fireplace and built-in television. Many residents enjoy knowing they can be alone when they want to be or be with others when they feel like socializing.
